Science Centre Board contract covers hand-cranked and foot-operated fan exhibits for internal outdoor testing.

ZIGONG, SICHUAN, CHINA, October 6, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Zigong Zhongqing Technology Co., Ltd., operating under the Zoomking brand, announces that it was awarded a contract by Science Centre Board on 28 September 2026 to design and fabricate two human-powered fan exhibits for Science Centre Singapore.

The contract scope covers the design, fabrication and delivery of a hand-cranked fan and a foot-operated fan. Both units are intended for internal outdoor testing, rather than public visitor use. This release announces the contract award and presents the submitted engineering approach; it does not announce completed delivery, client acceptance or a public installation.

The award marks the company's first overseas public procurement award, following earlier overseas projects contracted through local intermediaries. It represents a distinct procurement milestone, rather than the start of the company's international business.

The submitted designs explore two ways of converting human effort into airflow. Both use mechanical transmission to drive fan rotation without an electrical supply for the fan. The difference in operating method leads to different input mechanisms, support structures and arrangements of moving parts.

In the hand-cranked concept, handles connect to a transmission and fan assembly supported by a stand and base. The proposal includes directional adjustment and access to internal components for inspection and maintenance. An exploded assembly illustration explains the relationship between the fan unit, transmission housing and supporting structure.

The foot-operated concept combines a seat, pedals, a supporting frame and a transmission path leading to the fan. The submitted proposal includes transparent inspection windows through which selected mechanical components can be observed. Colours in the accompanying computer-aided design (CAD) illustrations distinguish components and do not specify an approved final finish.

The proposal illustrates the engineering work involved in custom science exhibit design, including operating mechanisms, component interfaces, protective enclosures and maintenance access. It also contains an in-house workshop test record for a hand-cranked prototype. That record forms part of the development documentation and is not a client acceptance test or independent third-party certification.

The procurement reference is SCB000ETQ26000033, recorded on Singapore's GeBIZ government procurement portal. The published design illustrations come from the company's submitted proposal and are not photographs of delivered exhibits. Further updates will be shared when confirmed project milestones and approved materials are available.
