Campaign for Parkview Health features real patients delivering personal letters to their doctors
When used thoughtfully, AI allows us to spend more time on the human elements that truly connect with audiences.”
TAMPA, FL, UNITED STATES, July 2, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- As brands rapidly adopt artificial intelligence in advertising, StudioMax Creative is demonstrating how AI can strengthen, rather than replace, human creativity through a new campaign that puts authentic patient stories at the center of the screen.— Jennifer Ruyle, Partner and Executive Creative Director
The campaign was created for Parkview Health, a not-for-profit, community-based healthcare system serving northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio. Known for its patient-centered approach, the organization wanted to highlight the human connection at the heart of healthcare by inviting people to read personal letters to their doctors on camera for the first time, capturing unscripted, emotional reactions.
To bring those moments to life, StudioMax Creative used artificial intelligence to streamline behind-the-scenes planning, such as storyboarding and location research, while keeping the creative process firmly in human hands.
“There is a lot of conversation right now about whether AI is replacing creativity,” said Jennifer Ruyle, Partner and Executive Creative Director at StudioMax Creative. “Our experience shows the opposite. When used thoughtfully, AI allows us to spend more time on the human elements that truly connect with audiences.”
How AI Supported the Campaign
During production, StudioMax Creative used AI to improve efficiency across several key areas:
● Storyboarding revisions to accelerate internal and client approvals
● Pre-production documentation to organize complex schedules and logistics
● Music research to identify viable tracks and confirm licensing early
● Location research to generate initial options before in-person scouting
● Voiceover testing to refine pacing, including for Spanish-language versions
By reducing time spent on logistics, the team was able to focus more deeply on capturing genuine performances and emotional storytelling.
Where Human Creativity Still Leads
StudioMax Creative emphasizes that AI can improve efficiency, but the most important elements of production still depend on human insight and creative judgment.
For example, while AI can help identify potential filming locations, in-person scouting is still necessary to assess lighting, sound, spatial dynamics, and how a space will ultimately translate on camera. Similarly, in the editing process, human judgment plays a critical role in shaping pacing, performance, and emotional impact, particularly in campaigns where tone and authenticity are paramount.
Taken together, these decisions reflect a deliberate approach to integrating AI without compromising creative integrity. By using technology to handle logistical complexity, teams are able to devote more attention to nuance, collaboration, and the elements that shape a meaningful viewer experience.
“At the end of the day, AI can help you move faster, but it cannot tell a story that makes someone feel something,” Ruyle added. “That still comes down to people.”
