Free event returns to La Verne, CA with on-the-spot acceptances, FAFSA and Cal Grant support, and more than 60 colleges under one roof

LOS ANGELES, CA, UNITED STATES, September 12, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- National College Resources Foundation (NCRF) will host the 13ᵗʰ Annual Latino College Expo™ on Saturday, September 12, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the University of La Verne, 950 3rd Street, La Verne, CA. This free, in-person event brings together students, families, colleges and community organizations for a day of college and career access, opening the same week the nation begins celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month.

The free college and career access event will bring students and families face-to-face with colleges, universities, trade schools, educational programs, employers and community organizations while providing access to scholarships, financial aid information, internships and career opportunities. The Expo creates a powerful space where inspiration meets access, and where futures begin.

Students will have the opportunity to connect with over 60 colleges and universities, representing public, private and independent institutions, HBCUs, military programs and other educational pathways. Select participating institutions may provide on-the-spot admissions, application fee waivers and scholarships. Assistance will be available to help families work through their FAFSA and Cal Grant applications, and NCRF will share information on DREAM Act and other financial resources available for students. Se habla español! NCRF staff and volunteers will be on hand to assist Spanish-speaking families throughout the day. College transfer students and adult learners are also encouraged to attend.

Taking place just days before the September 15th start of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Latino College Expo™ provides an opportunity to celebrate Latino achievement by investing in what comes next: educational access, career mobility and the next generation of Latino leaders. NCRF Celebrity Ambassadors – Radio Personality Cece “The Mamacita” Valencia and Media Personality Carolina “Caro” Márquez will emcee the event, inspiring students and awarding scholarships.

In addition to college and career access, attendees will engage in interactive seminars such as Money Making Careers, How to Survive in College, How to Find Money for College, Up To $200,000 in US Navy STEAM Scholarships, and more!
