PADUCAH , KY, UNITED STATES, August 21, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Time is running out to experience two landmark exhibitions at The National Quilt Museum in Paducah, Kentucky. Visitors have just a few weeks remaining to see the first-ever exhibition of Tula Pink’s personal quilts and the only exhibition to bring together all 26 of Janet Stone’s award-winning alphabet quilts in one place.— Rachael Baar, The National Quilt Museum Curator
Twenty Years of Tula Pink closes on September 15, 2026, followed by And Now I Know My ABCs! on September 22, 2026.
The exhibitions have given visitors a rare opportunity to experience two very different bodies of work by internationally recognized artists who have each made a distinctive mark on contemporary quilting.
Known throughout the quilting world for her unmistakable use of color, pattern, hidden imagery and playful sense of humor, Tula Pink has spent two decades developing a visual language all her own.
Twenty Years of Tula Pink marks the first-ever exhibition of her personal quilts, bringing together work that reflects her evolution as a fabric designer, quilter and creative force over the past 20 years. The exhibition offers visitors an opportunity to see Tula Pink’s designs in a way that cannot be fully experienced through fabric collections, books or photographs — as completed quilts displayed together in a museum gallery.
For Janet Stone, the alphabet became the foundation for an extraordinary 16-year creative journey. Created between 2008 and 2024, Stone’s celebrated alphabet series consists of 26 quilts — one for every letter of the alphabet. And Now I Know My ABCs! marks the first time all 26 quilts have been exhibited together.
The series showcases Stone’s remarkable craftsmanship, imaginative typography, intricate appliqué and distinctive visual storytelling. With the exhibition closing September 22, visitors have a final opportunity to experience the complete alphabet series together.
“These are two exhibitions that truly need to be experienced in person,” said Rachael Baar, Curator and Associate Director of The National Quilt Museum. “Tula Pink and Janet Stone have each developed an unmistakable artistic voice, and seeing these works together in our galleries has been extraordinary. We encourage anyone planning to visit not to wait. September is the last opportunity to experience these two remarkable exhibitions at the Museum.”
