The third Discover Adventure book transforms Wild’s greenhouse, meadow, wildlife, and family memories into imaginative children’s world where hearts light up.
NEW YORK CITY, NY, UNITED STATES, August 22, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Children’s author Kim Wild invites young readers and their families into an enchanting world inspired by her own backyard in Moonbeam Way: The GreenHouseSheShed Stories: Discover Adventure Series Book Three. Filled with glowing Firelites, woodland animals, magical blooms, and gentle lessons about friendship and belonging, the story combines imaginative adventure with elements drawn from Wild’s real greenhouse, four-acre meadow, a small forest, animals, and family experiences.
As evening settles over the magical meadow, tiny Firelites begin their nightly work, sprinkling golden pollen among the flowers of the GreenHouseSheShed. Nearby, a majestic buck quietly watches over the neighborhood as its unknown protector. Across the meadow, Midnight, a black cat, observes the tiny glowing world from a distance. She longs to become part of the community and wonders whether the GreenHouseSheShed might someday become a place where she belongs, too.
The inspiration for the GreenHouseSheShed Stories began six years ago when Wild received her greenhouse and imagined that it could someday become the foundation for children’s stories. Much of the world readers encounter has roots in real life. Wild draws inspiration from the actual GreenHouseSheShed in her backyard, the deer that visit the property, honey bees and bumble bees, flowers, her forever puppy, Echo, and Miss Bluebeary, a bear cub that made a home beneath the branches of a Douglas Fir tree. Even the little boy singing in Moonbeam Way was inspired by Wild’s grandson.
Wild also brings a distinctive visual dimension to the series. She photographs real objects, animals, structures, and locations from her home and property, then uses artificial intelligence as part of the process of transforming those photographs into magical illustrations. According to Wild, approximately 95 percent of the illustrations originate with something real, including fairy houses she has built herself. She emphasizes that artificial intelligence is not used to write the stories.
The books are designed to encourage children to linger over the illustrations as much as the words. Hidden details throughout the pages invite repeated viewing, giving young readers opportunities to discover something new each time. Wild says teachers, day care providers, and grandparents have responded positively to this combination of storytelling and visual exploration.
With eight books created across two GreenHouseSheShed series, Wild continues developing a world where familiar elements of nature become gateways to imagination. In Moonbeam Way, a watchful deer, a hopeful cat, glowing Firelites, and a magical meadow come together around a reassuring idea for young readers: friendship can appear in unexpected places, and there may always be room for one more heart to belong.
