Canadian DJ channels Winnipeg ambition and Miami nightlife energy into his new dance single, arriving September 18, 2026.
Winnipeg is where I started, and Miami showed me the possibilities of a global electronic music city. This track brings those two parts of my journey together.”
WINNIPEG, CANADA, September 15, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Emerging Canadian DJ and electronic music producer LxAM will release his new single, “I Just Wanna Dance,” on September 18, 2026. The high-energy dance track connects the young artist’s Winnipeg roots with the nightlife, club culture and electronic music energy he experienced while performing in Miami.— LxAM, DJ and Electronic Music Producer
At a young age, LxAM is building an international identity from his hometown of Winnipeg. His sound combines house, tech house and contemporary EDM, drawing inspiration from the underground energy of late-night dance floors and the shared experience of people coming together through music.
“‘I Just Wanna Dance’ is about letting go of everything else and being completely present in the music,” says LxAM. “Winnipeg is where I started and where I continue to build, while Miami showed me the energy and possibilities of a global electronic music city. This track brings those two parts of my journey together.”
LxAM’s connection with Miami became an important step in his artistic development. A live DJ set filmed at a private Miami club introduced his performance style to a wider online audience. The experience gave the emerging producer an opportunity to present his sound within one of the world’s most recognized destinations for electronic music and nightlife.
Back home, LxAM has continued to showcase Winnipeg through live performances and visually distinctive DJ content. His projects have included a riverboat set filmed on the Red River near The Forks, where the Red and Assiniboine rivers meet. The performance placed modern electronic music against some of Winnipeg’s most recognizable scenery, including the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, the Esplanade Riel and the Saint Boniface Cathedral.
The Winnipeg and Miami performances represent two sides of LxAM’s developing identity: the city and community that shaped him, and the international dance-music culture toward which he is building.
That connection is reflected in “I Just Wanna Dance,” a club-focused release created around movement, freedom and the immediate energy of the dance floor. With an accessible vocal hook and a driving electronic production, the single is intended for clubs, parties, workouts, playlists and late-night listening.
LxAM audience continues to grow across streaming and social platforms. His progress reflects a new generation of independent Canadian artists who are developing international audiences through original releases, live performances and location-driven visual content.
“I want people outside Canada to discover that exciting electronic music can come from Winnipeg,” LxAM adds. “My goal is to represent where I’m from while creating music that can connect with listeners anywhere in the world.”
“I Just Wanna Dance” will be available September 18, 2026, on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music and other major streaming platforms.
