Crown Office Supplies: Net 30 for Schools and Nonprofits Facing Funding Delays

Order supplies now. Pay in 30 days. 46 states begin their fiscal year on July 1; 27% of nonprofits saw government funding delayed in early 2025; any organization with an EIN can apply for Net 30 at Crown Office Supplies.

Crown Office Supplies offers Net 30 terms to organizations with an EIN.

Any organization with its own EIN can apply. Approved accounts order supplies now and pay 30 days later, interest-free, while budgets and grants catch up.

Thirty days won't fix a funding gap, but it does mean the supply order isn't the thing that has to wait.”

FL, UNITED STATES, October 5, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- As schools, nonprofits and public agencies work through the first months of a new budget year, Crown Office Supplies is pointing them to a payment option many assume isn't meant for them: Net 30 vendor terms. Any organization with its own Employer Identification Number (EIN) can apply for a Net 30 account, and approved accounts pay for supply orders 30 days after invoice, without interest.

The timing problem is structural. Forty-six states begin their fiscal year on July 1, according to the National Association of State Budget Officers, and the federal fiscal year began on October 1. School districts and agencies that depend on those budgets often wait weeks or months between an appropriation and the money actually arriving.

For nonprofits, the wait is often longer. The Urban Institute reported in October 2025 that 27 percent of nonprofits experienced a delay, pause or freeze in government funding in the first months of 2025, and a third reported at least one type of government funding disruption. Nonprofit Finance Fund's 2025 State of the Nonprofit Sector Survey found that only 47 percent of nonprofits outside New York City reported being paid on time.

That matters because government money is a large share of the sector's revenue. In 2023, two-thirds of nonprofits received at least one government grant or contract, and the average nonprofit drew a quarter of its revenue from government sources, according to Urban Institute research published in February 2025.

"A school or a food pantry doesn't stop needing paper, toner and cleaning supplies because a reimbursement is running late," said Dana Angelino of Crown Office Supplies. "Thirty days won't fix a funding gap, but it does mean the supply order isn't the thing that has to wait."

Eligibility is based on the EIN, not the entity type. Sole proprietorships with an EIN, LLCs and corporations qualify, as do nonprofits, private and charter schools, churches, trade associations, medical and dental practices, and municipal and other government entities. Every application is reviewed individually.

Crown publishes the program's terms before an applicant starts:

- Who can apply: any organization with its own EIN
- Payment terms: Net 30, no interest
- Opening limits: $1,000 to $4,000; most approved accounts open at about $2,500
- To start ordering: approval plus a $99 annual membership
- Support: chat at crownofficesupplies.com and email

"Most of the organizations we talk to aren't looking to borrow. They're looking to line up two dates that don't match," Angelino said. "If the budget clears in November and the supplies are needed in October, that's the gap Net 30 is built for."

Organizations comparing vendors can use Crown's free Net 30 calculator to see the due date and cash-flow window for a given invoice. It requires no account. Applications are accepted on the Crown Office Supplies website.
