Angieri will lead the organization through the fall as the board conducts a national search for Arch Grants' first Chief Executive Officer.
ST. LOUIS, MO, UNITED STATES, August 17, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Arch Grants announced today that Executive Director Gabe Angieri will step down after ten years with the organization, including four and a half years as Executive Director. Angieri will remain in his role through the next several months, helping ensure continuity as the organization begins a national search for Arch Grants' first Chief Executive Officer.Angieri joined Arch Grants in 2016 and was named Executive Director in 2022. Under his leadership, Arch Grants evolved from a startup competition into a broader platform for entrepreneurial growth in St. Louis, marked by new industry cluster partnerships, a significant expansion of its headquarters and founder space, and the launch of the Arch Grants Fellows program. Since its founding, Arch Grants has awarded more than $20 million in non-dilutive funding to entrepreneurs, whose companies have generated more than $1.4 billion in revenue, raised more than $929 million in follow-on capital, created more than 4,000 jobs, and generated more than $275 million in regional wages.
"What I will carry with me most is the community we built," Angieri said. "Founders, investors, donors, universities, corporate leaders, and civic partners are connected around entrepreneurship and the future of St. Louis in ways that simply did not exist when I joined Arch Grants ten years ago. This was the founding vision of Bob Guller, Joe Schlafly, and Jerry Schlichter when they launched the organization, and I'm incredibly proud of the role our team has played in bringing that vision into focus. I'm even more proud that Arch Grants is positioned to keep building on that work long after my departure."
Board President Zundra Bryant credited Angieri with helping strengthen both Arch Grants' impact and the organization behind it. "Gabe has given Arch Grants a decade of leadership defined by results, relationships, and a remarkable ability to build teams around ambitious goals," Bryant said. "He has helped Arch Grants grow while remaining deeply committed to our founders, our mission, and the people doing the work. We are grateful for what Gabe has built, and for the thoughtful way he is approaching this transition. The best way to honor that contribution is to find a leader who can take Arch Grants even further."
"I'm excited for what's next," Angieri said. "After ten years with Arch Grants, this feels like the right time to open the aperture and consider opportunities that may look very different from what I've done over the past decade. I know what I love to do: build strong teams, solve hard problems, bring people together, and help organizations grow."
Arch Grants' Board of Directors has begun a national search, and Angieri will work closely with Bryant, the Board, and Arch Grants' leadership team during the transition.
