Goldfarb is the oldest Republican candidate to be on the ballot of any state for the United States Congress. If elected, he will be the oldest freshman member of Congress in history and one of the most qualified to run. A Florida resident, Goldfarb chose to run in Alaska after concluding that restrictive ballot-access rules in his home state protect incumbents and limit competition. Goldfarb is running as a Republican with an independent streak, stating he will vote in line with Alaska’s and the country’s best interests rather than strictly along party lines. He argues that purchased name recognition is not the same as earned trust.

His priorities include:

Goldfarb’s military service began at 19. He became a Naval Aviator, flew the A-4 Skyhawk with Attack Squadron 15, and logged approximately 225 day and night carrier landings aboard the USS *Forrestal*. He later served as a deputy sheriff before building a career in corporate marketing and sales promotion and founding his own businesses.
