CHATTANOOGA, TN, UNITED STATES, August 21, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- A ribbon cutting was held yesterday for Chattanooga's newest restaurant, The Trinity, a New Orleans-inspired eatery in the city’s Southside District.
Founded by longtime friends Ken Newburger and Carlitos Fernandez, The Trinity brings the colorful spirit of New Orleans to a growing Chattanooga culinary scene. “Every person from New Orleans has an unspoken mission to take New Orleans to the rest of the world,” explained Newburger, a New Orleans native. “The Trinity is my way of sharing a bit of home with everyone.”
The Trinity is located at 1278 Market Street in the historic former St. John’s Restaurant and St. John’s Hotel building, and aims to create a distinct atmosphere that would be right at home down the street from New Orleans staples like Galatoire's, Antoine's, or Commander’s Palace.
The restaurant menu features exciting options like:
Étouffée
Grits and grillades
Cajun cassoulet
Beignets
Bananas foster
And classic New Orleans cocktails
“Our team believes that good food, music, and hospitality can bring people together and create great memories,” said Fernandez. “More and more people and businesses are moving to this area, and we’re looking forward to sharing the culture and flavor of New Orleans with everyone.”
Newburger and Fernandez lead a Trinity team of culinary experts and restaurant veterans who have been part of local hospitality projects like Unknown Caller, 50/50, and Elsie's Daughter.
“We want our restaurant to be a place where quality and experience are equally valued,” said Newburger. “We want it to feel thoughtful, familiar, and intentional - but like New Orleans, we love any reason to celebrate.”
The Trinity Restaurant is open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. every Monday-Sunday, and features a special brunch menu on Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. For more information and a full menu, visit www.thetrinitychatt.com.
