TROY, MI, UNITED STATES, August 14, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The National Veteran Business Development Council (NVBDC) is pleased to announce that State Compensation Insurance Fund (SCIF) will attend and exhibit at the 2026 NVBDC National Conference, taking place October 4–6, 2026, at MotorCity Casino Hotel in Detroit, Michigan.

Themed Mission: POSSIBLE, this year’s conference will bring together veteran-owned businesses, corporate procurement professionals, supplier inclusion leaders, and decision-makers from across the country for three days of relationship building, education, networking, and business development.

SCIF’s participation will give veteran business owners attending the conference an opportunity to connect directly with representatives, learn more about potential supplier opportunities, and better understand how their products and services may align with organizational procurement needs.

“Participation from organizations like State Compensation Insurance Fund is critical to creating meaningful opportunities for veteran-owned businesses,” said Elaine M. Taylor, Executive Director of NVBDC. “The NVBDC National Conference is about creating access — bringing qualified veteran business owners and procurement professionals together so they can build relationships that lead to real business opportunities.”

The 2026 NVBDC National Conference will feature one-on-one matchmaking, networking opportunities, educational sessions, expert-led panels, breakout sessions, a Veteran Marketplace, and direct engagement with corporate and organizational procurement representatives.

Veteran-owned businesses attending the conference are encouraged to visit the State Compensation Insurance Fund exhibit to introduce their companies, discuss capabilities, learn more about potential procurement needs, and establish relationships that can continue well beyond the conference.

Through NVBDC 3.0 and Mission: POSSIBLE, NVBDC continues to expand its focus beyond certification by helping veteran-owned businesses become better prepared, better connected, and better positioned to compete within corporate and institutional supply chains.
