PsyAccess launches a registry-verified directory of licensed ketamine- and psychedelic-assisted therapy providers across 27 European countries.

LISBON, PORTUGAL, September 17, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- For a class of medicine that fills headlines, licensed esketamine and ketamine treatment, recruiting clinical trials, and authorised psychedelic-assisted therapy are remarkably hard to actually reach in Europe. The information is scattered across 27 regulatory systems in a dozen languages, clinic marketing sits next to fact, and when someone asks an AI assistant where to go, there has been no reliable source for it to cite. PsyAccess, launching today, is the map: a free directory of 487 licensed and registry-traceable records across 27 countries, each with the source link printed on the listing.

Inclusion verifies licensing and factual claims against official registers, never clinical quality, efficacy or the treatment itself. PsyAccess does not rank providers.

The first thing the map shows is how uneven access is. Of the 103 providers authorised to deliver psychedelic-assisted therapy in the strict sense, 101 are practitioners working under Switzerland's per-patient authorisation scheme, and 2 are German sites in an authorised psilocybin compassionate-use programme (BfArM, §3 BtMG). Every other country in the directory has none. Seven countries — Cyprus, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Romania and Slovakia — have exactly one verified provider of any kind. “Legal” and “reachable,” it turns out, are very different words depending on where a patient happens to live.

What makes the directory unusual is not that it exists, but how it is built. In a field where clinic marketing is often indistinguishable from fact, and US-style directories list whoever pays, PsyAccess does close to the opposite. Listing is free, and no payment affects whether a provider is included, how it ranks, or how its record is verified. Every record needs at least two independent sources, the standard a newsroom applies to a fact, and wherever a public register exists, one of them has to be that register. A listing that cannot clear the bar is not quietly labelled “unverified.” It is removed, and stays removed until it can be proven again.

The routes are not interchangeable, and the directory keeps them apart: 212 licensed esketamine centres, 129 clinical trial sites, 103 authorised psychedelic-assisted therapy providers, and 43 ketamine or ketamine-assisted psychotherapy clinics. Of the 129 trial sites, participation is research under a study protocol, not a form of available clinical care. Counting only routes a patient can actually be treated through, the map holds 358 providers, not 487.

PsyAccess is also unusually direct about what it is not. It does not rank providers or name “best” clinics. It makes no claim about whether treatment works. Coverage is thinner in some countries because access genuinely is, and where a country has two licensed sites, the directory shows two. All of this is stated on the site itself, not buried in a disclaimer.

The directory is free, available in five languages (English, German, Spanish, French and Polish), and stores nothing from its in-browser eligibility check unless a user chooses to send an enquiry.
