DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, September 4, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Italian wine culture takes centre stage tonight at Villa Murphy with an exclusive Special Wine Tasting Dinner celebrating the wines, landscapes and heritage of Piedmont with very VIP people from all over the world.
The evening brings together Batasiolo and Castello di Gabiano, two distinguished producers representing the diversity of the region. Batasiolo, rooted in the Langhe, cultivates approximately 156 hectares across ten estates, including prestigious vineyards in Barolo, La Morra, Monforte d’Alba and Serralunga d’Alba. Its portfolio includes five renowned Barolo crus: Cerequio, Bussia, Brunate, Briccolina and Boscareto.
Castello di Gabiano brings a different dimension of Piedmont, combining wine with centuries of historyy. Perched above the Po Valley in Monferrato, the estate has roots reaching back to the Middle Ages and has been associated with the Durazzo family, Marquises of Gabiano, for around four centuries. Today, the family continues its winemaking tradition across an estate of approximately 260 hectares, including 22 hectares of vineyards.
A Seven-Wine Journey
The evening’s tasting moves progressively through Piedmont’s diverse wine landscape, beginning with Batasiolo Millesimato 2020, followed by Gavi, Roero Arneis and Castello di Gabiano Chardonnay 2020.
The journey then turns to Piedmont’s celebrated red varieties with Batasiolo Langhe Nebbiolo 2021 and Castello di Gabiano Barbera d’Asti Superiore, before reaching its finale with Batasiolo Barolo 2017.
More than a traditional wine dinner, the experience offers guests a taste of the territories and traditions behind each bottle from the freshness of Piedmont’s white wines to the elegance, structure and complexity of Nebbiolo and Barolo.
Italian Wine Meets Dubai
Dubai’s international hospitality and luxury dining scene provides a natural setting for this celebration of Italian wine. Events such as this create a direct connection between producers and international audiences, transforming wine promotion into an experience of culture, heritage and place.
The dinner also reflects the broader objectives of the OCM Wine – Promotion in Third Countries framework, which supports initiatives aimed at strengthening the international visibility and competitiveness of European wines through tastings, communication, trade activities and market development.
Ultimately, the Villa Murphy experience is a celebration of Italian land, family, craftsmanship and heritage — bringing the spirit of Piedmont to Dubai, one glass at a time.
