New Delhi, March 11, 2025 – Hamari Pahchan NGO, a leading nonprofit organization in Delhi NCR successfully celebrated Women’s Day on March 08 with a host of activities organized for the women of Delhi. This programme included a Legal Awareness Talk and a self defence workshop by in collaboration with Delhi Police.The legal aid clinic will consist of the elaboration of legal Acts and orders which will impact women especially and  the legal aid clinic plans to reach out to maximum women to protect their rights by acting as a one-stop centre for legal counselling. The legal representative elaborated the many modes of safety that are in the hands of women to use in case of any emergency or criminal acts.

These modes include the Himmat App, the NCW and the DCW helplines and portals like them. The counselling session was extremely valuable and informative. The session mainly included legal counselling and general queries. For other matters, the expert advised the people to visit the courts in Delhi NCR.

The self defence workshop provided the trainees the ability to use karate/judo  to protect oneself and having a sense of what a good/bad touch is. It will focus on physical ability, grit and stamina of the young women. The women of Coolie Camp were instructed on various movements to safeguard themselves physically and some basic tips for women’s safety were discussed.

Women gained valuable experience by availing these services and the volunteers  gained experience in social entrepreneurship, and NGO operations.

Finally the event was graced by the police representative who lauded the efforts of Hamari Pahchan NGO towards skill development and its efforts towards education for all.
