Fifpro World 11

Modular Football Trophy Honoring Collective Achievement Receives Platinum A' Design Award Recognition

COMO, CO, ITALY, August 27, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The A' Design Awards has announced Fifpro World 11 by xCruza as a Platinum winner in the Awards, Prize and Competitions Design category. This recognition places the football trophy among works acknowledged for notable creativity and technical accomplishment within the accolade design field. The A' Design Award is a highly respected, internationally juried competition that evaluates entries through a rigorous, criteria based process. For xCruza, a Buenos Aires based industrial design studio, the distinction affirms a thoughtful approach to translating cultural meaning into a functional object. The award also highlights the relevance of the design to professional football and the broader community it serves.

The Platinum A' Design Award recognition holds meaning beyond the studio, signaling to the accolade industry how trophies can express shared values rather than individual triumph alone. Fifpro World 11 responds to a growing interest in awards that emphasize inclusion, camaraderie, and collective experience. By reimagining the conventional single trophy as a modular system, the design aligns with practices that prioritize meaningful interaction and lasting identity. For stakeholders, the work offers a practical and scalable model received by world class footballers. The result strengthens both the award experience and its recognizable identity.

Built on the Argentine concept of Abrazo de Gol, the goal embrace, Fifpro World 11 is made from solid aluminum and consists of eleven individual pieces that assemble into a single cup. This duality allows the trophy to function in two states, the unified cup and a hand held piece for each selected footballer. A streamlined morphology of curve and counter curve gives the form visual movement in both configurations. Each statuette is machined on a five axis CNC, then polished through multiple stages to achieve a satin interior and a mirror finish exterior. Laser engraving of the player name and the year completes each piece, combining high precision technology with an artisanal finish.

This Platinum A' Design Award recognition may inform future directions for xCruza, encouraging continued exploration of designs that merge cultural narrative with industrial feasibility. The achievement reinforces the studio's commitment to creating scalable products and coherent product identities grounded in a clear Argentine identity. It also serves as motivation for the team to pursue further innovation in objects that carry symbolic and emotional resonance. The win demonstrates how a meaningful concept can be realized through disciplined development and careful attention to manufacturing constraints.
