Demos across partner booths, including Sagemcom and KAON, build on 3 million-plus set-top box deployments; CEO joins Broadcom for connected-home AI panel

SF, CA, UNITED STATES, September 10, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- ENERZAi, an edge AI software company, will demonstrate on-device AI agents running on set-top boxes at IBC 2026, held September 11 through 14 at RAI Amsterdam. IBC is one of the world's largest trade shows for the broadcast, media, and entertainment technology industry, drawing broadcasters, pay-TV operators, streaming platforms, and network technology companies from around the world.

ENERZAi develops ultra-lightweight AI agents that run entirely on devices with limited memory and computing power. Its on-device AI has been commercially deployed on more than 3 million smart home devices, including set-top boxes. At IBC, the company will show that a full range of AI agent features can run reliably on set-top boxes, a device class known for tight hardware constraints, without any cloud connection.

Agent Demos at Sagemcom and KAON Booths
As part of its work with Broadcom, ENERZAi will run AI agent demos at the booths of Sagemcom, KAON Group, and other OEMs that build set-top boxes on Broadcom silicon. The demo lineup covers AI agents built specifically for the set-top box domain:
Self-Help answers spoken questions about device features and errors, retrieving the relevant information from the product manual to walk users through a fix.
Translation transcribes audio from programs that lack subtitles, then translates the captions into the viewer's language in real time.

Separately, at the KT pavilion for the carrier's partner companies, ENERZAi will present an automotive self-help agent built on its own 1.58-bit, 1.7-billion-parameter language model.
Partnerships Across the Set-Top Box Value Chain
ENERZAi works with companies at every stage of the set-top box value chain, from chipmakers to OEMs to pay-TV operators.

The company is working with Broadcom and Synaptics, two of the leading suppliers of set-top box silicon, to expand the reach of its AI models on each company's chip platforms. With Synaptics, the collaboration extends into software itself: ENERZAi contributes to compiler development for Torq, the Synaptics edge AI software stack.
On the OEM side, ENERZAi recently signed an MOU with KAON Group and is working with manufacturers in Korea and abroad to ship its AI agents on their set-top box products. Among operators, the company has supplied voice-command AI to more than 3 million LG Uplus set-top boxes in Korea, and is in discussions with overseas operators on supply agreements.

Joint Session with Broadcom at RDK Global Summit
ENERZAi will also take part in the RDK Global Summit in Amsterdam on September 14, the closing day of IBC. RDK is an open-source software platform, launched under Comcast's leadership, that operators, OEMs, and chipmakers worldwide use to develop set-top boxes and other customer-premises equipment.

Alongside demos of its Self-Help and Translation agents, ENERZAi will join Broadcom for an Innovation Spotlight session titled "On-Device Intelligence for the Connected Home." Hanhim Chang, CEO of ENERZAi, and Paul Cox, Senior Director of Software Engineering at Broadcom, will discuss in a panel format how the two companies are bringing AI agents into the home, and where the partnership goes from here.

"IBC and the RDK Global Summit are where we plan to establish ENERZAi across the global set-top box value chain," said Hanhim Chang, CEO of ENERZAi. "Our goal is to build the smallest, smartest AI agent that works on any device. Set-top boxes are the starting point; home appliances and automotive come next."
