Cattini India to set up a state-of-the art manufacturing facility in Pune worth €2.5 million

Cattini e Figlio Spa, an Italian firm, is set to establish a manufacturing unit of various machinery products such as gears, shafts, and synchronizers in Pune’s Sanaswadi area with a total investment of 2.5 million euros. The new entity will be called Cattini India.

While addressing the media at the inaugural ceremony, director of Cattini India Thomas Mathew said the company will be spread over five acres and provide good economic stability at the local and national levels. “In the initial phase, we are assuming the company will make a turnover of Rs. 45 crores. In phase 2, the target will be Rs. 250 crores in three years. Either within five or seven years, we aim to reach around Rs. 650 to 700 crores,” said Mathew. He also mentioned that initially, there will be 60 employees with the company as equipment will be imported from Italy, but the number will increase in the future.

ALCOR Worked closely with the management of Cattini India for planning, structuring & executing the transaction for Cattini India and opened a manufacturing facility at Sanaswadi, Pune.

Chairperson of Cattini e Figlio Spa Lorenzo Amedeo said “Cattini was established in 1950 to produce small gears for motorcycles and hay elevators, and after four years, it became a corporation. Cattini India is a subsidiary of Cattini e Figlio and a market leader in Europe’s commercial vehicles segment for various types of gears, shafts, and synchronizers”.

This investment marks Cattini’s foray into the Indian market and is a significant step in the company’s growth strategy to expand its presence in the Asia-Pacific region. The facility will bring in advanced technology, investments, and expertise, which will not only generate employment opportunities but also create a manufacturing hub in Pune. commented Cattini India Director Mr. Thomas Mathew.
