The agreement will bring selected non-animal screening services from Eurosafe, part of Wepredic, to the 3RnD platform while establishing Wepredic as a commercial sales and marketing partner for 3RnD in France, Belgium and Switzerland.
The collaboration addresses a growing need in the cosmetics industry for earlier, more integrated approaches to understanding the safety of cosmetic ingredients and supporting informed product development decisions. Through the agreement, AsedaSciences will offer selected Eurosafe services through 3RnD, including assessments of skin permeation, dermal absorption and skin sensitization potential, alongside other high-value cosmetic safety assessments.
These services are designed to support the safety evaluation of cosmetic ingredients and inform decisions on concentrations of use, taking intended uses and relevant exposure conditions into account. By providing human-relevant, non-animal data earlier in research and development, the combined offering can help companies make better-informed decisions about ingredient selection, safety and formulation.
Building an Integrated Cosmetics Safety Profile
A key value of the collaboration is the ability to combine complementary NAMs and datasets within a single decision-support environment. Eurosafe services can be integrated with other capabilities available through 3RnD, including Biomimetic Chromatography, which can provide insights relevant to cell permeability and compound distribution, and GPCR screening, which can assess interactions with G protein-coupled receptors expressed by cells in the skin.
When considered together with dermal absorption, skin permeation and sensitization data, these complementary methods can provide a more comprehensive view of how cosmetic ingredients interact with biological systems and the potential safety implications of skin exposure.
Rather than evaluating individual test results in isolation, 3RnD enables data from multiple methods to be centralized, connected and visualized, helping researchers identify relationships between chemical properties, biological activity and potential toxicity earlier in the development process.
