Apogee Information Systems Launches MailOps for Self-Hosted Email Operations

THESSALONIKI, GREECE, August 13, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- New Modoboa extension combines server health monitoring, mailbox analytics and message-level delivery diagnostics in one administration environment

August 14, 2026 — Apogee Information Systems has launched Apogee MailOps, an operations and troubleshooting extension designed for organizations running self-hosted email infrastructure through Modoboa.

MailOps brings infrastructure health, mailbox usage information and delivery-failure diagnostics into the Modoboa administration environment already used to manage domains, accounts and quotas. The product is intended for hosting providers, internal IT departments and digital agencies responsible for production mail servers.

Operating self-hosted email infrastructure can give organizations greater control over their systems and data. However, identifying the cause of a delivery or capacity problem often requires administrators to move between secure-shell sessions, server-monitoring tools, DNS management panels and multiple log files.

MailOps consolidates these operational signals into a set of administrator-focused views. Its capabilities include server-resource monitoring; live status information for Postfix, Dovecot, Rspamd, Nginx, PostgreSQL and related services; mailbox and domain storage analytics; stale-mailbox reporting; migration-status visibility; and message-level delivery diagnostics.

For failed deliveries, MailOps provides delivery-path and next-hop information alongside contextual checks for SPF, DKIM and DMARC—the principal authentication mechanisms used to verify email senders and protect domain reputations. Administrators can also access guidance on potential causes and corrective actions. Optional AI-assisted remediation is available using an API key supplied by the customer.

“Organizations choose self-hosted email because control matters, but that control becomes difficult to sustain when operational information is fragmented across several systems,” said Nektar Baziotis, Managing Director of Apogee Information Systems. “MailOps gives administrators a more coherent view of what is happening across the server, the mailbox estate and the delivery path, while allowing them to continue working within Modoboa.”

The launch forms part of a renewed commercial-development focus led by Baziotis, who is taking a more active role in connecting Apogee’s established technical capabilities with organizations seeking practical digital infrastructure solutions.

“My priority is to bring Apogee’s field-tested technology to the organizations that can benefit from it,” Baziotis added. “MailOps reflects that approach. It began with a genuine operational challenge inside our own infrastructure and developed into a focused product that can help other teams manage the same responsibilities more effectively.”

MailOps is expected to shorten the path from detecting a mail-server problem to understanding its probable cause. By bringing server, mailbox, authentication and delivery information together, it can help administrators identify capacity risks earlier, investigate delivery failures more efficiently and reduce the manual effort required to correlate information across separate systems.

“MailOps grew out of the checks our technical team was already performing manually across server tools, DNS records and mail logs,” said Manolis Tsiamitas, Head of IT Operations and Infrastructure at Apogee Information Systems. “We retained Modoboa as the core platform and added the operational visibility our team needed when diagnosing real infrastructure and delivery issues.”

Apogee MailOps is available as a permanent v1.x license for existing Modoboa installations or as part of a complete new-server deployment that includes the installation and configuration of Modoboa and MailOps.

MailOps is an independently developed extension and is not affiliated with the Modoboa project.
